i wouldn't call them "floods" floods but i've lived in a few houses (or maybe just one i don't really remember) where the entrances would sometimes flood and you had to mop it away and put a bunch of rags on the door to hold back the water

yeah during "the" flood it didnt even get to enter the house also because theres a little step to get in
